Warsaw Family Days is marking a milestone this year. This is already the twentieth edition of the event, organised by the Zwalcz Nudę Foundation together with the city, and the format has stayed the same for years: from September 18 to 20, a network of free workshops, open days and demonstration classes for families with children runs across all of Warsaw. Registration for selected attractions opened on August 24 at 10 am on warszawskiednirodzinne.pl, and since spots are limited, some parts of the program have already filled up.
Face painting and a full day of play with no per minute charge
One of this year's local stops in Wilanów is the Hop&Pop indoor playground at ul. Zygmunta Vogla 62, unit 26, in Zawady, a short walk from the roundabout with Przyczółkowa. On Friday, September 18, from 10 am to 7 pm, the venue hosts the Colorful Faces Festival, a day of face painting combined with the playground's standard offer: colorful climbing and slide structures, a zone for the youngest visitors, and sweets on site.
On a normal day Hop&Pop is open daily from 10 am to 8 pm, and admission is billed by minutes spent inside, with children under one year old entering free. During Warsaw Family Days that rule disappears for one day: taking part in the festival is free, just like every other stop in the city's WDR program. The venue also runs a separate line for birthday bookings, at +48 573 372 267, open Monday to Friday from noon to 6 pm. For anything else, the contact number is +48 573 372 522.
For residents of this part of Wilanów, it is also a chance to check on an area that spent the summer dealing with the roadworks at the Vogla and Przyczółkowa intersection. The work is finished and the street is running normally again, so getting to the playground should no longer be a hassle.
Anyone who misses a spot for the festival itself can still visit Hop&Pop on any regular day. Free face painting only comes around once a year, but the slides and building blocks are there for the whole season.
