Inside the Alto Wilanów shopping and services centre at Aleja Rzeczypospolitej 14 you will find Fikołki, an indoor play centre. It is built around a two level climbing structure with several kinds of slides, a maze and an obstacle course, aimed mainly at children up to the age of eleven. For parents in Wilanów it is one of the few indoor spots where a child can play for an hour regardless of what the weather is doing outside.

What is inside

Besides the main structure, the room has a toddler corner, a ball pool, a spider web climbing net, a tube slide, a zip line and a popcorn machine. Next to the structure there is a seating area where parents can watch their children without having to climb up themselves. The age limit of eleven applies only to the climbing structure itself. The general area and the party rooms have no upper age limit. Fikołki also runs three separately decorated rooms used for birthday parties and themed workshops. According to the Warsaw city culture portal pik.warszawa.pl, the structure's safety has been confirmed by the Centrum Kontroli Placów Zabaw, a Polish playground inspection body.

Right next door to the play centre is the Italian restaurant Cucina Wilanów, so parents waiting for their children have somewhere to eat a proper meal rather than just a vending machine coffee. The same Alto building also hosts a branch of the Wilanów Library, the Zdrofit gym and the Enel-Med dental clinic, so a visit to Fikołki is easy to combine with other errands in this part of Wilanów.

The play centre is open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 9pm, and on Sunday from 10am to 8pm. Birthday bookings, availability questions and current prices are best handled by phone on +48 500 200 200 or by email at wilanow@fikolki.pl, since pricing and room availability change more often than the opening hours do.

Fikołki is a chain operating in several Polish cities, including the Arkadia centre in Warsaw and Wroclavia in Wrocław, and the Alto Wilanów location is one of its outposts in the capital. For estates without their own large indoor playground, such as Miasteczko Wilanów on a rainy or freezing day, it is in practice one of the few local alternatives, without having to drive into the city centre.
