Miasteczko Wilanów grew faster than its infrastructure. When the first residents moved into the new blocks on Sarmacka Street, there was not a single clinic within several kilometres. The idea to change that came up in May 2010, and by October of the same year the company JBM Grupa Medyczna was founded. Przychodnia Wilanów opened its doors on 5 May 2011, the first clinic of its kind in the district.

Today it is located at ul. Sarmacka 10C lok. B, in the heart of Miasteczko Wilanów, a few minutes on foot from the shopping centre and local schools. Registration runs Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 7:00 pm, by phone at +48 22 526 13 20 or by email at biuro@przychodniawilanow.pl.

What you can get done there, on NFZ and privately

Basic healthcare, meaning a family doctor, runs here under an NFZ contract, along with part of the specialist consultations, including urology and endocrinology. Alongside that, the clinic runs a wide range of private appointments: from laryngology, gynaecology and cardiology, through orthopaedics, dermatology and psychiatry, to physiotherapy, ultrasound and occupational medicine checks. For families with children, the pediatric ward matters most. That is where child health checkups happen, first shortly after birth, then several times during the first year of life, followed by further ones once the child turns 2, 4, 6, 10, 13 and 16. At each one the doctor checks eyesight, hearing, blood pressure, weight, height and overall development. The same ward also qualifies children for vaccinations, both mandatory and recommended, following the current vaccination schedule.

For anyone who has just moved to Wilanów with a child, this is practical information. There is no need to travel to another district to book a first checkup or vaccination. It is worth knowing that phone registration can get busy during peak hours, so calling right after opening tends to work better.

Fifteen years after opening, the clinic is still one of the few healthcare points in this part of the district, even though the population of Wilanów has grown several times over since then. It is one of those things that are easy to overlook until the moment you actually need them.
